Technology and gadgets are not only fun but can help us be more productive. I
plan to blog about tools I use as well as what is on the horizon.
Currently my iPhone is my favorite. The key to this device is it is not only a phone, iPod, etc. but a powerful computing platform to develop any application type. This has been proven by the hundreds of applications that have been developed for this “platform” and will continue to be released.
Leveraging all the information on the internet is powerful. I use Google reader to aggregate all my RSS feeds to a single interface. This is available on both the desktop browser as well as mobile devices.
My Garmin 295 aviation GPS
makes the navigation element of flying much easier. While flight planning I can create the route on the computer, download it to the 295 and follow the line to my destination. Used in conjunction with other navigation aids such as VOR’s it gives pilots all the tools they need. Newer models provide additional features such as real-time XM weather.
